The purpose of the proposed study is to analyze trends in the development of secondary education in Ukraine in the face of global challenges, identify local features and determine strategies for adapting to modern global and local challenges in the field of education. The study is based on a systematic analysis of scientific sources. Methods of comparative analysis were applied to compare global trends in the field of education and their impact on the Ukrainian context. An interdisciplinary approach was used for a comprehensive consideration of problems. The results revealed key global and local trends in the development of secondary education in Ukraine. The impact of global factors on the local educational context is determined and current challenges are revealed. Adaptation strategies and innovative approaches to solving these problems are proposed. The deepening of the processes of globalization affects all spheres of life, including the school education system. The modern educational model of Ukraine must adapt to global trends, able to meet the requirements and needs of the global labor market. One of the key components of education development is the introduction and integration of advanced technologies. The use of digital learning tools can significantly improve the quality of education and students' readiness for the challenges of the modern world. An extremely relevant trend is to ensure equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their social status or physical and cognitive characteristics. Given the rapid pace of changes in the modern world, the secondary education system should provide students not only with professional knowledge, but also develop the skills of adaptation, critical thinking, and the ability to work in a changing environment. Successful implementation of these aspects requires the joint efforts of teachers, parents, and state institutions, as well as constant updating of education development strategies in Ukraine. It is important to remember that the goal of modern education should be not only the transfer of knowledge, but also the development of personality and the formation of readiness for further life in a global society. The conclusions emphasize the need to implement effective strategies and innovations in the educational process for successful adaptation to global and local challenges. It was determined that the improvement of the educational system in Ukraine requires a comprehensive approach and cooperation of all interested parties.
