Adaptation of international methods of intellectual development is significant in the context of ongoing transformations in the Ukrainian educational environment and the growing demand for effective models for developing children's cognitive abilities. A significant challenge is the need to harmonise the content, didactic, and organisational parameters of foreign programs with national educational standards, the socio-cultural features of the children's audience, and the expectations of parents and teachers. In this context, the experience of the SMARTUM educational network demonstrates the possibilities of integrating international approaches to the intensive development of cognitive skills within the Ukrainian cultural and educational space. The purpose of the study is to determine the mechanisms of adaptation of international programs of intellectual development and to assess their effectiveness in the Ukrainian educational space. The research methods included content analysis of educational and methodological materials, comparative analysis of international and Ukrainian educational standards, expert assessment of teachers, and structural and functional modelling of the adaptation process. Results. Adapting educational programs to national standards increases the accuracy of learning modules, balances cognitive load, and strengthens the motivational component of the educational process. It was shown that essential factors of success are the cultural relevance of educational content, the methodological flexibility of teachers, the localisation of examples, and the integration of elements of Ukrainian pedagogical traditions. The positive impact of adapted methods on the development of logical thinking, working memory, analytical skills, and self-regulation and educational autonomy in children of primary and secondary school age was revealed. Conclusions. Adaptation of international methods of intellectual development to the Ukrainian educational context is an effective tool for modernising extracurricular and additional education. The results of the study confirm the feasibility of implementing adapted programs across different regions of the country, expanding the possibilities for innovative development of the educational environment and ensuring the formation of competitive cognitive competencies in children.
