Abstract

The relevance of the study is determined by the rapid development of regenerative cosmetology as a high-technology and socially significant field operating within a globalized professional environment and regulated by international standards of professional practice. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the structure and content of the competency profile of a contemporary specialist in regenerative cosmetology in accordance with international standards of professional activity and to determine its educational significance.

Methods. The study is based on a critical analysis of scholarly publications devoted to the competency-based approach in professional education and to international standards of regenerative cosmetology practice. The obtained data were systematized to construct a structured model of professional competencies.

Results. The findings demonstrate that the competency profile of a specialist in regenerative cosmetology is a multidimensional construct that integrates professional, specialized, and interpersonal competencies within a unified educational and regulatory framework. It was established that international standards of professional activity orient specialist training toward the principles of evidence-based medicine, strict adherence to clinical protocols, and continuous professional development, which requires the formation of analytical, technological, and reflective components of professional preparation. The analysis made it possible to substantiate the integration of ethical, legal, and safety aspects as core elements of the competency profile, as they determine the legitimization and social acceptability of professional actions. It was determined that communicative and inclusive competencies play an important role in ensuring patient-centered practice and effective interdisciplinary interaction. It was proven that alignment with international standards enhances the comparability and recognition of professional qualifications while simultaneously increasing requirements for educational programs with regard to learning outcomes and quality assurance.

Conclusions. The formation of a competency profile in accordance with international standards of professional activity is a strategic priority in the training of specialists in regenerative cosmetology. It was established that the competency-based approach enables the integration of scientific knowledge, practical skills, and value orientations into a holistic model of professional readiness. The study emphasizes that educational systems should adapt international competency frameworks to the national context selectively and with methodological justification, ensuring both global relevance and local applicability.
