Abstract: The modern requirements for professional preparation necessitate the integration of cutting-edge technologies in the field of education. The objective of this research is to analyze the processes of shaping the psychology of individual consciousness through the active utilization of information and communication technologies (ICT) and transformations in the sphere of education, particularly in European Union countries. To achieve this goal, analytical and synthetic methods were employed, allowing for the initial examination of the main research subject as several smaller components: the use of ICT in contemporary European education and its impact on the individual psychological state of learners. Subsequently, these individual components were unified based on the specified methods, leading to the formulation of comprehensive conclusions.
Among other crucial theoretical methods applied in this interdisciplinary study were content analysis, systemic and axiological, prognostic, and comparative research methods. The investigation revealed that the application of information and communication technologies (ICT) can be beneficial for developing countries undergoing educational system westernization. The digital revolution and progress in ICT within European education enable the effective formation of new knowledge, fostering the development of creative capabilities and facilitating the preservation, dissemination, and access to knowledge.
The utilization of various interactive platforms, online courses, multimedia resources, and other digital tools contributes to the creation of diverse and enriched learning environments, promoting the development of critical thinking, independence, and innovative abilities among educational participants. Nevertheless, information and communication technologies were also subject to scrutiny, identifying both positive and negative aspects, including their potential destructive impact on the formation of individual psychology.
Additionally, it was demonstrated that the mere presence and accessibility of information do not guarantee the proper formation of knowledge at the level of individual personality. In the conclusions, emphasis is placed on the recommendation for the optimization of ICT use in modern educational processes through the incorporation of artificial intelligence and the cultivation of advanced digital competence among teaching staff.
