The content of social responsibility of future officers and the peculiarities of its formation in the process of their professional training

Abstract

The article reveals the essence of the future officer's social responsibility, as: personal and professional traits; a necessary condition for his successful performance of future professional duties, preservation of health and life of the personnel of units under his control in the future, and formation of public trust in him as a representative of power structures; the ability to consciously take responsibility for the results of professional military activity. The purpose of the study was to substantiate the theoretical foundations of social responsibility of future officers, practical aspects of its formation, as well as to outline ways to optimize the specified process. The methodological basis of the study was system, competency-based and interdisciplinary approaches, in the implementation of which theoretical and empirical methods of scientific knowledge (analysis, synthesis, logic, deduction, analogy, forecasting etc.) were applied, which made it possible to reveal in more detail the content of social responsibility of future officers, to analyze peculiarities of its formation and foresee possibilities of optimization of this process. The need for an optimal combination of theoretical and practical components of the educational process to ensure the maximum effectiveness of the formation of future officers of social responsibility is emphasized. It is noted that the theoretical component involves the acquisition by the acquirers of knowledge about the content and meaning of social responsibility in general and within the statutory norms in particular, and the practical component – the skills and abilities to implement it during service and outside of it. A number of features of the formation of social responsibility in future officers are characterized, due to its new nature associated with Russia's open military aggression against Ukraine. It has been proven that the formation of social responsibility is a complex educational and scientific problem that needs immediate rethinking and solution.
