At various historical stages of Ukrainian society's development, the education system has always played a key role in shaping specialists capable of competently carrying out professional activities and understanding social responsibility. Modern globalization and migration processes in Ukraine and Europe intensify the need to adapt educational priorities, affecting the content and methods of training lawyers. In this context, the targeted impact of higher education on the formation of such personal qualities in future lawyers as tolerance, benevolence, professional integrity, politeness, and a tendency toward humanistic conflict resolution is particularly important.
The article focuses on the list of requirements for training a professional and the analysis of current educational standards for training bachelors of law in Ukraine. An analysis of scientific works of specialists who study the issues of training future specialists at the first bachelor's degree level is carried out. The positive experience of communicative competence of civil servants of the European Union and the USA is considered and analyzed. The main qualities and professional characteristics of a future lawyer in the performance of their duties are characterized. The professional competence of future lawyers to work with such a category in modern society as refugees is updated.
Thus, the development of legal education should contribute not only to the formation of a competent specialist but also to the shaping of an individual who, while performing their professional duties, will promote the strengthening of Ukraine as a rule-of-law state, particularly in working with such a social category as refugees in modern society.
