The article analyzes the processes of retraining of adults through non-formal education. The features of the integration of non-formal education into the professional development of the adult population and its importance for increasing career mobility are studied. The key barriers that complicate the retraining process are considered, including financial, technical and motivational factors. Effective strategies for overcoming them, the use of modern information and communication technologies and the introduction of mentoring and coaching programs are analyzed. Promising directions for improving educational programs aimed at improving the quality of the educational process and expanding access to educational resources are identified. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the role of non-formal education as an effective tool for retraining adults in the conditions of labor market transformation caused by modern socio-economic challenges. In the process of research, general scientific methods were applied, in particular, an analysis of modern scientific literature, a comparative analysis of educational practices in Ukraine and Germany, and a systematization of empirical data on institutional models, methods and practical tools of non-formal education for adults were used. The results established that successful retraining of adults is possible under the conditions of program flexibility, digitalization, the use of interactive methods (gamification, mentoring, coaching) and the development of online education. International experience, in particular Germany, emphasizes the effectiveness of a model based on a partnership between the state, business and civil society. Digital transformation, increasing access to education, a competency-based approach and training of andragogists are relevant for Ukraine. Non-formal education appears as an important resource for adapting to social and economic changes. In the Conclusions, the study confirmed that non-formal education is an effective means of professional retraining of adults, capable of promptly responding to modern challenges. It ensures individualization of learning, accessibility and practical orientation. In Ukrainian realities, the development of mechanisms for recognizing learning outcomes, the development of digital infrastructure, and the training of qualified andragogists are particularly important.
