Encouraging critical thinking through innovative approaches in art education: A systematic review

Abstract

The purpose of the article was to investigate the impact of innovative approaches in art education on the development of critical thinking. To achieve the goal, the methods of analysis and synthesis of the obtained data were used to determine effective methods of developing critical thinking in art education, generalization. As a result of the research, it was found that critical thinking is an intellectually disciplined process of analysis, synthesis, evaluation of received information, reflection, as well as the ability to draw reasonable conclusions and make reasonable decisions. The development of critical thinking is a necessary element of modern education, which contributes to the formation of creative, independent and responsible specialists. The introduction of innovative approaches to art education can significantly improve the process of stimulating critical thinking. The use of artificial intelligence and virtual reality is of great importance for the development of creative abilities, which is important for the training of future specialists in the field of art. Interactive learning methods are effective in developing such critical thinking skills in students as analysis, evaluation, synthesis and organization of information. An important prerequisite for the formation of critical thinking of students of art education is the use of discussions, seminars, game forms, group and individual work and other forms of educational organization in the learning process. The main skills that the student of education can master as a result of such training are the ability to ask questions, search for evidence that confirms or refutes the information received, conducting a comparative analysis, etc. In general, using various digital tools, interactive teaching methods, innovative technologies, teachers can increase the efficiency of the educational process and stimulate the development of creative abilities of students. It is important to constantly improve educational programs and methods, taking into account the rapid changes in the modern world. Institutions of higher education should give priority to innovative methods for effective education and training of future specialists in the art direction.
