Abstract

Integration into the global educational space is an important direction in the development of Ukrainian education, which highlights the need to study foreign experience and analyze both achievements and shortcomings in the educational innovations of developed countries. The pedagogical ideas that have influenced the development of informal education and its formation as an open system functioning on the principles of accessibility, continuity, and social orientation deserve special attention. This article presents, examines, and synthesizes ideas related to the development of informal education in global practice. It highlights the process of changing approaches to informal education in foreign countries and Ukraine, depending on historical, social, cultural, and national contexts, and describes their impact on the further development of the informal education system. Common and distinctive features in the development of pedagogical ideas across countries are identified, with the aim of applying this experience to the domestic system of informal education.
