The article discusses the pedagogical diagnosis of the levels of development of motivational-value and cognitive-goal components in the design of the arts and education sphere, which finds its most significant manifestation in personal self-development through involvement in a creative environment. The criteria and indicators of these components are defined and given qualitative and quantitative characteristics. The motivational-value component is the quality of knowledge about the profession and awareness of its importance to society, a positive attitude towards the profession (indicators: interest and professional orientation of training; the need for self-development in the process of artistic and project activities), and the cognitive-goal component is awareness of integration methods, techniques, and the latest technologies for implementing artistic projects (indicators: knowledge of the types and forms of artistic and educational projects, as well as methods for their development; ability to integrate and combine artistic knowledge, taking into account the set project goals).
In the process of pedagogical diagnostics, the levels of preparedness of future music and choreography teachers for the implementation of arts and education projects were identified: creative, sufficient, reproductive, and initial. It was determined that the initial level is characterised by a lack of desire to implement artistic projects and low awareness of the goals and meanings of project activities; the reproductive level involves the formation of fragmentary knowledge that students cannot implement in practical activities; the sufficient level is characterised by a weak manifestation of individual creative style, but students have purposefulness, awareness of basic performance competencies, and the ability to transfer theoretical knowledge into practical activities; the creative level shows the formation of an individual creative style and a clear professional orientation.
