Abstract

The article reveals the problem of forming such an important professional quality as ensemble singing skills in future music teachers as one of the key segments of the process of professional (vocal) training of university students of arts faculties. It has been determined that music lessons in general secondary education institutions involve the involvement of ensemble singing skills by the music teacher in conducting vocal and choral work with the class, school vocal ensemble or school choir and are the key to the development of the general culture of students and vocal and choral culture.

The results of experimental work on the formation of ensemble singing skills of future music teachers in the process of vocal training are presented. It has been established that an equal distribution will more fully reveal the state of formation of students' ensemble singing skills, so four levels were identified: initial, reproductive, sufficient, and creative, which were given qualitative characteristics. The pedagogical diagnostics at the ascertaining stage of the experiment demonstrated the predominance of the initial (23, 57%) and reproductive (44, 01%) levels over the sufficient (21, 02%) and creative (11, 4%) levels among students of art faculties.

The formative experiment was conducted in three stages: informational and cognitive, performance and technological, and effective and creative, which contributed to the experimental actions on the formation of ensemble singing skills of students of art faculties. The analysis of the formative stage of the experiment, aimed at increasing the level of formation of each of the components of the studied phenomenon on the example of the cognitive-orientation component, has shown the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed methodological tools for the formation of students' ensemble singing skills.
