Abstract

In modern high-performance sports, more and more attention is paid not only to the physical, but also to the psychological preparation of athletes. The problem of forming and developing psychological resilience, which is the key to effective activity in conditions of high emotional and physical stress, is of particular relevance. In this context, gaming activity is considered as an important means of influencing the psycho-emotional state of athletes, in particular handball players, who function in constantly changing conditions of sports competition. The importance of the study lies in the need to find effective methods that contribute to reducing the level of anxiety, increasing self-confidence, stress resistance and the ability to maintain emotional balance in critical game situations.

The purpose of the article is to investigate the effectiveness of gaming activity as a means of forming psychological resilience in handball players of different ages and levels of training, to analyze the relevant scientific and methodological approaches and to present the results of an experimental study. The task of the study was to justify the choice of game techniques that contribute to the development of the main components of psychological resilience, and to assess the dynamics of changes using valid psychodiagnostic tools.

The article analyzes the main approaches to defining the concept of "psychological resilience" in sports, its components and assessment criteria. It summarizes modern psychotraining methods used in the training of athletes and can be adapted to the conditions of the handball training process. Special attention is paid to the use of group games, role-playing scenarios, simulation situations that simulate typical game difficulties and conflicts, contributing to the development of adaptive response mechanisms. The results of an experimental study conducted on the basis of a handball sports section, where a control and experimental group of players was formed, are presented. In the experimental group, special game exercises and psychotraining aimed at developing emotional control, resistance to frustration, the ability to self-regulation and team interaction were used for three months.

The results of testing conducted before and after the implementation of the program showed positive dynamics in the experimental group: the level of situational and personal anxiety decreased, the indicators of confidence, internal control and the ability to constructively overcome game difficulties increased. While in the control group, the changes were insignificant or statistically insignificant. This indicates the effectiveness of using game activities as a means of developing psychological resilience in handball players.

Thus, it is concluded that the systematic and methodically substantiated use of game forms in the training of handball players is an important component of psychological training. Further research can be aimed at deepening the analysis of the influence of game techniques in different age groups, as well as studying the long-term effect of their use. The results obtained can be useful for coaches, sports psychologists and teachers working in the field of team game sports.
