Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study the processes of integrating digital tools into choreographic education in the system of higher art education, taking into account a comparative analysis of international experience and practices that have been formed in Ukraine in 2024–2025. The relevance of the digitalization of the educational process in the field of choreography as a response to socio-technological challenges and requests of the modern generation of students is substantiated. Methods. The article uses methods of functional analysis, comparison, elements of a systems approach and comparative studies. The main analytical array was formed based on open sources, scientific publications and examples from the practice of art educational institutions in different countries. Results. As a result, it was established that digital technologies, in particular video analysis, online platforms, motion capture systems, immersive environments (VR/AR), artificial intelligence and social media have acquired a stable functional significance in the educational process of training choreographers. The article details the methods of their use in world practices and compares them with the Ukrainian context, where digitalization is still fragmentary but dynamically growing. It is established that digital tools contribute not only to increasing the efficiency of mastering technical material, but also to the development of reflexivity, autonomy, visual literacy and digital communicative competence of future choreographers. For the first time, the experience of using digital platforms in the professional training of choreographic group leaders (in particular, visual branding, media presentation, and creating an online image of the group) is analyzed, which is insufficiently covered in the scientific literature. Conclusions. The conclusion is made about the feasibility of implementing a blended learning model as the primary educational strategy in the field of choreography, which allows combining bodily interaction with digital pedagogy tools. The need for structural modernization of curricula in art higher education institutions is substantiated, taking into account digital competencies as a key component of the professionalization of a choreographer in the 21st century.
