Abstract

The article examines the problem of forming academic integrity as a component of professional competence of higher education applicants in the conditions of a modern higher education institution. It is emphasized that academic integrity is the foundation of quality education and scientific activity, and its observance is an indicator of a responsible attitude to learning and professional activity. The main aspects of academic integrity are revealed: compliance with copyright, prevention of plagiarism, transparency of assessment, responsibility for results. Pedagogical conditions that contribute to the development of ethical behavior are identified: creation of an ethical educational environment, example of teachers, use of digital tools, integration of ethical norms into the educational process. A set of theoretical research methods was applied, which allowed us to identify effective educational practices and behavioral models.
