The paper explores the involvement of mature women in health and recreational physical activity within the framework of hotel services. The relevance of the study is determined by the need for physical and psycho-emotional recovery in this age group, as well as the existence of barriers to participation in such programs. The research emphasizes the importance of an individualized approach and the consideration of motivational factors. Purpose. To investigate the specifics of involving mature-aged women in sports animation programs within hotel complexes, identify participation barriers, expectations, and key criteria for the effectiveness of health-improving recreational physical activity (HIRPA) during short-term resort stays. Methods. The study involved a survey of 20 women aged 21–55 years with prior hotel resort experience. Participants were divided into two age groups: 21–35 years (n = 10) and 36–55 years (n = 10). The questionnaire included both closed and open-ended questions addressing previous participation in HIRPA programs, access barriers, motivations, preferred organizational formats, and program quality expectations. Descriptive statistics, comparative analysis, and qualitative data interpretation were used. Results. Women aged 36–55 demonstrated a higher level of prior participation in HIRPA (90%) compared to the younger group (70%). Older respondents more frequently reported barriers such as language difficulties, health-related limitations, and insufficient program personalization. Key quality indicators across both groups included instructor professionalism, safety, a friendly environment, and age-appropriate program adaptation. Younger women showed greater interest in dynamic, socially engaging activities, while older women emphasized safety, controlled intensity, and comfort. Conclusions. Engaging mature-aged women in sports animation programs requires a flexible and personalized approach that considers age, psychological, and sociocultural factors. The findings can inform the development of more inclusive and effective recreational programs within hotel settings, increasing their appeal and accessibility for this target demographic.Downloads
