Incorporating the ethnopedagogical ideas of prominent Ukrainian educators into the professional training of future teachers

The article analyzes the ethnological ideas of leading Ukrainian enlighteners and outlines the possibilities of their integration into the system of professional training of future teachers. The need for the study is determined by the relevance of the formation of national identity, patriotic values and spiritual and moral guidelines in the context of the ongoing war and on the background of globalization challenges. The purpose of the article is to identify and analyze the ethno-pedagogical views of Ukrainian educators, to determine the ways of their application in the content of theoretical and practical training of pedagogical staff. Methods. In the process of investigation, it has been used historical-pedagogical, comparative, culturological and content analysis, which has made it possible to identify the conceptual pedagogical guidelines for the fostering the national and patriotic qualities by means of folk pedagogy. The results of the analysis prove that the ethnological ideas of Ukrainian scholars are of high value both for the professional growth of future teachers and for the effective realization of the upbringing function of education. It is substantiated that incorporating an ethnological component into the proffecional teacher training contributes to the formation of such qualities as patriotism, cultural identity, emotional maturity, moral resilience, tolerance, and responsibility. It is also noted that the need for a systematic approach to the implementation of ethno-pedagogical knowledge: through the integration into academic disciplines, designing the special courses, master classes, ethnological practices and scientific-research activity. The conclusionsemphasize that the reliance on the ethnological heritage in the process of training of pedagogical specialists is not only a means of preserving national culture, but also a factor of the harmonious development of the future teacher's personality. The proposed guidelines make it possible to build the educational process on the basis of the values of the Ukrainian people, particularly on the respect towards family, labour, nature, native language, and historical memory, that ensures the effective training of educators of the new generation.
