Designing is a component of pedagogical activity that harmoniously integrates the theoretical foundations of didactics and the value orientations of education. It is through the design of educational activities that it becomes possible not only to create new educational products but also to optimize existing ones, ensuring their alignment with contemporary requirements. The aim of the study is to explore the essence of educational process design and to define the key directions for its implementation in the context of the digital transformation of education. To achieve this goal, the following methods were used: theoretical analysis, comparative method, and generalization. Results. The study analyzes the distinctions between the terms didactic design, educational design, and educational process design, which are often used synonymously. It is substantiated that in the context of digital transformation, pedagogical design acquires new meanings and forms. In particular, it requires the integration of digital tools and innovative pedagogical strategies, which opens up new opportunities for the individualization of learning and the enhancement of its quality and efficiency. The sequential stages of implementing a technological approach to educational process design are examined, providing transparency in the functioning of pedagogical technologies. The didactic foundations for integrating pedagogical design into the educational process under conditions of digitalization are identified. Emphasis is placed on the flexibility and adaptability of educational process design in non-formal education, as well as its orientation toward the individual learner’s needs. At the same time, the absence of clear standards and regulations creates challenges in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of educational programs. This necessitates the development of universal design principles applicable to different types of education. Factors driven by dynamic changes in modern society that influence the evolution of vocational education and educational process design are outlined. Conclusions. The successful implementation of educational process design is possible under the conditions of methodological coherence, regulatory flexibility, the development of design culture, and support for innovative initiatives within the professional community.Downloads
