Abstract

Abstract. The article addresses the issue of implementing distance learning technologies in the process of preparing for the State Language Proficiency Exam (Level 3.0) required for performing official duties in accordance with Ukrainian legislation. The growing demand for effective and accessible forms of preparation has been driven by security challenges, the digital transformation of education, and the need to confirm language proficiency for official responsibilities. The aim of the article is to justify the relevance of using the MOODLE platform to create a distance learning course, describe the stages of its design and implementation, and analyze the effectiveness of the proposed learning solution. Methods. The research is based on a descriptive method, analysis of regulatory documents, instructional design, and statistical analysis of learning outcomes and learner surveys. Results. The article presents the experience of developing a online course, “Preparation for the State Language Proficiency Exam Level 3.0”, which includes interactive tasks covering all sections of the language program (phonetics, vocabulary, morphology, syntax), as well as modules on listening, writing, and speaking. Survey analysis revealed that the greatest difficulties were associated with listening tasks (40%) and speaking (30%), which prompted the development of additional training exercises. The implementation of the course on the MOODLE platform demonstrated its effectiveness in building language competencies, reducing learners’ anxiety, and increasing readiness for real exam conditions. Conclusions. The distance learning course implemented on the MOODLE platform is an effective tool for preparing for the State Language Proficiency Exam in Ukrainian, as it provides flexibility, personalized learning, and a combination of automated and individualized assessment closely aligned with real exam conditions. The proposed model can be applied for training civil servants, educators, and professionals in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.
