Abstract

Abstract: The article presents the results of a retrospective analysis of the formation of a modern system of adaptive sports competitions for war veterans and servicemen with the consequences of combat trauma in Ukraine (based on the material of power sports and crossfit). The purpose of the study is to characterise the historical and technological features of the formation of the system of adaptive sports for servicemen with the consequences of combat trauma and war veterans on the basis of power sports and crossfit. The objectives of the study are: 1) to identify and summarize information from available information sources on the historical and technological features of the formation of the system of adaptive sports for servicemen with the consequences of combat trauma on the material of crossfit and power sports – the modern concept of adaptive competitions “Games of Herous”; 2) to determine the interdisciplinary links of educational components of the programme in the specialty A 7 “Physical Culture and Sports” for higher education students in the conditions of higher education institutions in the disclosure of individual components, in particular, such as “Physical Culture and Sports Rehabilitation”. Research methods used in the course of solving the outlined tasks: analysis, systematisation and generalisation of theoretical information on the research issue, which is available in educational and methodological literature, publications and repositories of Ukrainian universities, on scientometric platforms. Results. The features of the formation of the system of adaptive sports for war veterans and servicemen with the consequences of combat trauma, based on strength exercises and the use of cross-fit elements, are thoroughly covered; historical aspects of the development of the ‘Games of Herous’ competitions are presented; the elements of educational components that should be particularly addressed by future specialists who receive education in higher education institutions and will solve professional problems in the field of adaptive sports for people with negative consequences of the traumatic impact of war events are described. It is noted that this theoretical information and practical skills are formed during the study of such educational components as ‘Biomechanics’ and ‘Physical Culture and Sports Rehabilitation and Adaptive Sports’, ‘Innovative Technologies in Physical Education’. The research data are presented in the research paper ‘Recovery’ and implemented in the educational process of the university. Conclusions. The authors have carried out a retrospective analysis of the formation of the modern system of adaptive sports for war veterans and servicemen with the consequences of combat trauma, identified historical aspects of the development of such competitions as the “Herous Games” in Ukraine, in which strength exercises and elements of crossfit are scored. It is determined which aspects of educational components such as “Biomechanics” and “Physical Culture and Sports Rehabilitation and Adaptive Sports” are important in solving professional issues by future specialists in the speciality A 7 “Physical Culture and Sports”. The article highlights the interdisciplinary links between the educational components of the educational and professional programme such as “Biomechanics”, “Innovative Technologies in Physical Education” and “Physical Culture and Sports Rehabilitation and Adaptive Sports”. The paper presents the author's own teaching and methodological materials for students majoring in A 7 “Physical Culture”.
