Abstract

Abstract: The article considers the feasibility of using outdoor games as a means of increasing motivation and emotional stability of athletes in individual sports. In the conditions of the modern training process, athletes, especially in athletics, swimming and tennis, are exposed to significant physical and psychological stress, which can lead to emotional burnout, reduced internal motivation and loss of interest in training. Psychological aspects of sports activity, such as self-regulation, the ability to concentrate and stress resistance, become critically important for achieving high results and maintaining long-term involvement in the training process. The article summarizes modern studies confirming the effectiveness of including game elements in training, and shows that outdoor games contribute to the development of cognitive functions, emotional stability and a positive emotional background. Specific examples of integrating games into the training of athletes of different ages and skill levels are considered: relays and tactical games for track and field athletes, water relays and team exercises for swimmers, games with modified rules and restrictions for tennis players. It has been established that adapting the rules and complexity of the game to the specifics of the sport and the individual characteristics of the athlete is a key condition for achieving the optimal combination of physical, technical and psychological effects. The need for a differentiated approach depending on the level of skill and age of athletes is emphasized, which allows ensuring safety, efficiency and long-term motivation. The article identifies gaps in modern research, in particular, insufficient systematic empirical data and the lack of comprehensive methodological recommendations for the use of outdoor games in the training of athletes in individual sports. The considered promising areas of further research include the assessment of long-term effects of game methods, the integration of modern technologies and the development of methodological principles to increase the effectiveness of athletes' training. The article may be useful for coaches, teachers and scientists who deal with issues of psychological training, motivation and optimization of the training process in individual sports.
