Abstract

Modern digital technologies are transforming the educational process, creating new models of interaction between students and educational institutions. The use of chatbots and artificial intelligence (AI) systems in education is considered a key direction for personalizing learning, enhancing the effectiveness of academic support and communication. The application of intelligent services in combination with adaptive educational approaches allows for consideration of individual learning trajectories and student needs, ensuring continuous access to educational information and advisory services. The article aims to analyze the functional capabilities of chatbots and AI algorithms in providing personalized support to students, identify their advantages, and assess the potential risks associated with their integration into the educational environment. The research methods included a comparative analysis of contemporary software solutions, content analysis of scientific publications from the last five years, a systematic approach to evaluating the effectiveness of intelligent technologies in the learning process, and the analysis of empirical data regarding the implementation of chatbots in educational institutions. The results showed that chatbots provide informational support, automated consultation, academic performance monitoring, and deadline reminders. At the same time, AI algorithms implement personalized recommendations based on students’ academic achievements and behavioral characteristics. It was found that integrating these technologies increases the accessibility of educational resources, optimizes communication between students and instructors, and reduces administrative workload. At the same time, issues related to the ethical handling of personal data, ensuring confidentiality, and fostering trust in intelligent systems were identified. Conclusions. The use of chatbots and AI technologies in personalized student support is a promising direction in the digital transformation of education. The effectiveness of their implementation depends on the technological readiness of institutions, the regulatory framework, and adherence to pedagogical principles. Further research should focus on developing models for adaptive integration of chatbots into various levels of educational programs and evaluating their impact on academic performance, motivation, and student satisfaction.
