Abstract

Abstract: The article describes personal-oriented physical education, offers a set of approaches to personal-oriented physical education according to the variable module «Children’s athletics». The author’s program for the development of speed and strength qualities for children of secondary school age is presented. Purpose: characteristics of personal-oriented physical education according to the variable module «Children’s athletics». To open a program for the development of speed and strength qualities of children of secondary school age. Methods. Theoretical – analysis and generalization of modern educational and methodical literature to clarify the state of the researched problem; analysis – for analysis and comparison of research results; generalizing – for formulating conclusions based on theoretical and practical studies. Results. The results of the study showed that the physical development and functional condition of children in the experimental group improved by 26% compared to the control group. In addition to the formation of optimal motor activity and the development of speed and strength qualities, the formation of children's theoretical knowledge of the basics of sports training was provided, the impact of stress on the body, opportunities to independently engage in physical culture and sports, the ability to compose sets of exercises for classes at home, peculiarities of control over physical condition, etc. Conclusions. Thus, we can conclude about the effectiveness of the proposed author’s program for the development of speed and strength qualities for students of secondary school age. According to the developed program, children’s motivation and interest in physical education and sports were also monitored, which was manifested by the high activity of pupils in self-improvement.
