Abstract

Annotation: The article considers ways to increase children's motivation for physical activity in the context of the formation of personal physical culture. The pedagogical conditions, methods and means that contribute to the interest of schoolchildren in physical exercises, the development of a value-based attitude to health and an active lifestyle are analyzed. Introduction. The personally oriented model of education, which underlies the concept of the New Ukrainian School (NUS), puts above all the interests and abilities of children, their views, takes into account the needs and peculiarities of development. One of the tasks of the NUS is to create conditions for the formation of personality in a modern educational environment, in connection with which the solution to the problem of the formation of personal physical culture of schoolchildren is actualized. Currently, many studies have been conducted that relate to the peculiarities of forming motivation for physical education and sports among schoolchildren of different age groups. However, studies devoted to increasing the motivation of adolescents in the process of forming personal physical culture require scientific substantiation of modern approaches in accordance with the reform of the education system in the conditions of the National Secondary School. The purpose of the study is to determine ways to increase motivation for motor activity in the process of forming personal physical culture of students. Research methods: analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature, generalization, survey, methods of mathematical statistics. Contingent of research subjects. The study was attended by 66 physical education teachers of the Dnipropetrovsk region, of whom 21 were of the highest category, 38 were of the 1st category, and 7 were without a category. Research results. A survey of physical education teachers showed that to increase motivation, 70.5% of teachers recognized the need to use modern means of physical education; 55.3% - to improve the level of students' knowledge; 53.1% - to apply methods of organizing educational activities; 51.6% - participation of children in various modern forms of physical education work; 47.1% - involvement of parents in physical education and sports activities. Conclusions. An analysis of modern forms, means and methods that contribute to increasing motivation in the process of forming personal physical culture, which requires the necessary professional skills and abilities of a teacher who is able to think creatively and actively, independently implement new ideas and technologies of teaching and education, was conducted. The study identified ways to increase motivation for physical education and sports in the process of forming personal culture.
