Abstract

The purpose of the article is to provide a theoretical justification for an innovative teaching methodology that ensures the sustainable and effective professional reintegration of former military personnel (veterans) into civilian life. The problem between unique military experience (hyperfocus, discipline) and the limited adaptability of traditional educational formats, which ignore psychological challenges (post-traumatic stress disorder (hereinafter PTSD), increased anxiety), significantly reduce the cognitive effectiveness of retraining. The study uses methods of systematic analysis, synthesis, and comparative pedagogical modeling; analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature to justify approaches to the implementation of trauma-informed pedagogy (hereinafter referred to as TIP). The results show that TPI should be implemented as a fundamental cognitive tool that creates a reliable framework by ensuring predictability, clarity, and restoring a sense of control in former military personnel, which is a necessary condition for further training. The proposed model is a three-level system in which adaptive learning is the main mechanism for personalizing trajectories, allowing veterans to choose a flexible pace for studying the material. The high feasibility of using innovative methods, in particular gamification and VR/AR simulations, has been confirmed. These are the most effective tools for converting military hard skills (e.g., project management and logistics) into civilian competencies. It has been proven that these mechanisms transfer the natural mechanisms of veterans (task and result orientation) into civilian life, promoting sustainable adaptation. The conclusions summarize that the systematic implementation of the model is aimed at ensuring the long-term sustainability of professional reintegration, since the elimination of psychological barriers at a fundamental level guarantees the full economic and social integration of veterans, which is a strategic contribution to the restoration of the country's human capital. Further research should focus on empirical testing of the proposed model, in particular the development of specific training modules using gamification and VR technologies to confirm the effectiveness of the model in real retraining conditions. The need for interdisciplinary cooperation with employers and state institutions to scale this model has been formulated.
