To achieve the set goal, in particular, to clarify the main concepts of the researched question, analysis and synthesis were used. The method of summarizing research results was used to formulate conclusions and prospects for further research. The new Ukrainian school is a strategic reform of the government of Ukraine, which involves the transition from a cognitive to a competence approach. An important aspect of education reform is the training of teachers, who must be ready to introduce innovations into the educational process and create them independently. The modern teacher has new duties and roles (moderator, tutor, facilitator, coach), which requires the presence of certain professional competencies. One of the key competences of a teacher in the conditions of the New Ukrainian School is information and communication competence. In the process of training future teachers, various digital resources are actively used, which contribute to the establishment of remote communication, the creation of educational materials and the organization of online education. Digital technologies allow future teachers to effectively use interactive tools, virtual environments, and online resources to stimulate students' critical thinking. The development of critical thinking in future teachers is a complex and multifaceted process that involves the use of active learning methods. The approaches on which the development of critical thinking in future teachers should be based are defined and characterized (systemic, competence-based, personally oriented, activity-based, axiological, and acmeological). The implementation of digital technologies in the process of training future teachers contributes to increasing the efficiency of the educational process, providing feedback and forming information and digital competence. As the development of digital technologies continues vigorously, future teachers must be ready for new challenges and interested in learning throughout their professional life.
