Abstract

Abstract: The publication is devoted to the issue of ways of forming civic values of future teachers of music, in particular when working on the figurative and harmonic means of the song repertoire. They appealed that future teachers of music should be aware of their involvement in the cultural and historical heritage in the novel, not only in broadcasting national traditions of music making (which is manifested in the selection of musical expression based on mode, metro-rhythmic structures, semantic and artistic correlation, artistic techniques in musical material), but also to demonstrate creative understanding of the legacy of predecessors, to further develop one's own aesthetic tastes through musical art and the tastes of the public. An important factor in the development of civic values is also the awareness of the importance of educational activities, which enables the transmission of national ideals through artistic achievements. The purpose of the article is to reveal the content of civic values of future teachers of music when studying the folk song repertoire. Methods. The goal was achieved using methods of analysis and synthesis of psychological research to define the concept of “civic values” and the features of their formation in musical art majors; in the classification of civic values; the descriptive method was used in the presentation of professionally oriented tasks that will contribute to the development of civic values; component analysis at the stage of observation of figurative and expressive harmonic means of the song repertoire; artistic means and implementations of symbols in the texts of Ukrainian folk songs. Results. The development of civic values in students of higher musical education is made possible through the actualization of verbal correlates of citizenship, the establishment of a relationship between artistic musical and verbal images in musical matter. In the content of the course “Professional Vocal”, future teachers of musical art were introduced to the content and specifics of the implementation of civic values, such as: stereotyping of the profession, which is manifested in the actualization of knowledge about the cultural and historical heritage, the desire for individual creative search in musical art; to transmit cultural heritage to the community; values associated with the awareness of social life as a significant factor in the social regulation of citizens; values associated with the system of knowledge about the industry (consonant industries); linguistic patriotism; respectful attitude towards the cultural and historical heritage of other peoples. In the content of the course “Professional Vocal”, future applicants worked on the project “Ukrainian Composers: Creative Progress”, the publication published the results of the work of future specialists on the project “Lesya (Lyudmila) Vasylivna Dychko: Creative Path”. In particular, the results of the creative development of the Ukrainian composer’s folk song repertoire are thoroughly analyzed: figurative and expressive harmonic means, a combination of traditional and modern techniques in folk music making. The applicants presented their own considerations regarding the model that implemented the civic value – the biographical and creative path of the artist in society. The candidates carried out figurative and linguistic-stylistic analysis of the text of Ukrainian songs, clarified the symbolic implementation of words, determined their style-forming function, which allowed them to form civic values – linguistic patriotism, a sense of civic identity through language (based on folk song material).
