Competence center as an innovative hub for personal and professional development of future teachers

In this article highlighted role of competence centers in professional training of future teachers. The objective of study is to examine the effectiveness of Center for Self-knowledge and Self-Development in the process of psychological and pedagogical support for personal and professional development of future preschool teachers and primary school teachers. This objective was achieved using a set of research methods, including: theoretical analysis methods, which helped to clarify state of problem in pedagogical theory; empirical methods (pedagogical observation, surveys, questionnaires) made it possible to generalize experience of Center and identify effective practices of psychological and pedagogical support for personal and professional development of future educators. During this study was highlighted goal, objective, and experience of competence center as an innovative hub of educational environment of a higher education institution. Attention focused on principles of the center's activities, forms, and methods that are effective in providing psychological and pedagogical support for personal and professional development of future teachers. Described areas of the center's activities: students adaptation to the conditions of higher education institutions, self-knowledge, practical preparation for teaching practice, and improvement of professional competencies of future specialists in a period of educational challenges. Results. Determined, that training of future teachers according to the “auditorium – competence center – practice base” scheme helps students adapt faster to the educational environment in times of uncertainty and master job functions of a preschool teacher and primary school teacher. Based on the results of study, was concluded that practical training of future preschool teachers and primary school teachers for the performance of their job functions, which carried out at the basis of Center for Self-knowledge and Self-Development, in the line with current strategy of training specialists, allows a flexible approach to formation of special (subject-specific, professional) competencies taking into account personal requests and professional needs of students in condition of traumatic experiences.Downloads
