The state of health of women of the first mature age affects demographic processes and requires constant monitoring. The problem of excess body weight of women of the first mature age is an urgent issue today, as it is one of the prognostic factors of development. The literature defines a number of approaches to the prevention of excess body weight, including a rational mode of motor activity. The purpose of the study is to determine the effectiveness of motor activity classes, using the example of aquafitness, in the prevention of excess body weight in women of the first mature age. The following methods were used in the study: theoretical analysis and generalization of data from professional literature, study of the level of motor activity (Fremingham method), physiological and anthropometric research methods, and methods of mathematical statistics (non-parametric Wilcoxon criteria, p<0.05). Results: aquafitness is the optimal type of motor activity, which includes aerobic and mixed loads that effectively affect body weight correction. During systematic aquafitness classes, a decrease in the basic level of motor activity of women of the first mature age by 10.15% and an increase in the high level by 3.67% were found. Positive dynamics in the reduction of body girth dimensions and body mass index (BMI) from 26.85±34.10 kg/m² to 24.25±29.76 kg/m² were determined. Conclusions: In the prevention of excess body weight of women of the first mature age, the use of means of motor activity is effective. The obtained results, based on systematic aquafitness classes, show positive dynamics of BMI reduction, confirming their effectiveness.Downloads
