Abstract

The article characterizes the main scholarly approaches to interpreting the content of individual style of professional activity in general and the individual style of professional activity of a future photographic artist in particular, as well as its structure in the context of training future specialists. Special attention is paid to the theoretical and practical aspects of selecting teaching methods that are appropriate for forming a stable, individually specific system of techniques, approaches, skills, and working methods as an expression of the individual style of a photographic artist’s professional activity. An analysis of contemporary scholarly research devoted to the formation of a stable, individually specific system of techniques, approaches, skills, and working methods as an expression of the individual professional style of photographic artists in Ukraine and abroad indicates insufficient development of issues related to the components of the individual style of professional activity of a future photographic artist, as well as methodological aspects of developing the qualities necessary for shaping an individual style of activity in the field of photographic art. The purpose of the study is to specify the characteristics of the individual style of a photographic artist’s professional activity, to substantiate its structure and content components, and to justify methodological support aimed at developing the qualities necessary for forming an individual style of activity in the process of training future photographic artists. To achieve the stated purpose, methods of analysis and synthesis of scholarly sources, abstraction, and modeling were employed. As a result of the study, the characteristics of the individual style of professional activity were clarified; the structure of the photographic artist’s professional activity and the theoretical and methodological aspects of developing a stable, individually specific system of techniques, approaches, skills, and working methods as an expression of the individual style of photographic activity were revealed. The conclusions state that the individual style of a photographic artist’s activity has a unique structure comprising general professional and specific components. For the formation of an individual style of activity in the educational process, a staged approach and unified educational technologies are considered appropriate.
