Abstract

Abstract. The article presents a theoretical analysis of the traditions and contemporary innovations in organizing educational activities in higher pedagogical education institutions, focusing on the formation of a developmental educational environment as a factor in the personal growth of future teachers. The relevance of professional-pedagogical training is justified in the context of the transformation of the educational paradigm, the implementation of the Bologna Process, and the introduction of a competence-based approach. Based on a review of domestic and international research, the study reveals the essence of educational activity in higher education as a multidimensional phenomenon integrating learning, upbringing, development, and professional formation of students. The leading role of the teacher in organizing and managing students’ learning activities, as well as the significance of students’ autonomy, activity, and reflection in achieving educational outcomes, is highlighted. The article identifies a set of principles of professional-pedagogical orientation, including the principle of professionally and pedagogically significant knowledge and the principle of professional competence in designing didactic requirements for organizing the educational process. The implementation of these principles creates the necessary pedagogical conditions for developing professional competence, self-efficacy, self-development, and self-realization of future teachers. Special attention is given to the role of innovative educational technologies and modern approaches to teaching in fostering students’ creative potential and preparing them to solve non-standard pedagogical tasks. It is concluded that the effective organization of educational activities in higher pedagogical institutions should be based on the integration of theoretical and practical, psychological-pedagogical, and subject-specific training, ensuring the holistic development of the future teacher’s personality.
