Abstract

The article examines strategies for promoting the goals of sustainable development, a challenge for universities in Ukraine and Germany. The aim is to investigate and compare the strategies used by Ukrainian and German universities to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into educational, research and administrative processes. The work uses such methods as analysis, synthesis, generalization. In the current environment of global challenges such as climate change, social inequality and economic crises, universities are key players in preparing new generations to solve these problems. The abstract covers a comparative analysis of the strategies used by Ukrainian and German universities to integrate the SDGs into their educational, research and administrative practices. The study highlights the importance of national contexts, especially with regard to the socio-economic and political conditions affecting the implementation of the SDGs in these two countries. In Ukraine, faced with the challenges of constant reforms and economic difficulties, universities are forced to look for innovative approaches to the implementation of the SDGs. Instead, Germany, as one of the world's leading economies, has greater resources and established structures to realize these goals. Special attention is paid to practical approaches and innovative initiatives that promote environmental awareness among students and teachers. This includes the creation of interdisciplinary curricula, the introduction of sustainable development principles into scientific research, and the support of environmentally responsible behavior in university communities. The study also considers the role of international cooperation, exchange of experience and joint projects between Ukrainian and German universities as effective means of achieving the SDGs. Identifying best practices in this area will help universities in both countries not only successfully integrate the SDGs into their systems, but also contribute to global sustainability and development. Thus, the main goal of this work is to identify effective strategies and recommendations for increasing the role of universities in promoting the goals of sustainable development, which is an important element in ensuring a sustainable future for all.
