Individual support of subjects of the educational process: theoretical background of the study

At the present stage of society development, along with the formation of humanistic orientation of education, the idea of individual support of all subjects of the educational process is intensively developing. Individual support is an important tool that contributes to the efficiency of the educational process, provides comprehensive support for students and helps them to achieve their personal and professional goals, contributing to the solution of individual needs, improvement of academic results, professional growth, development of independent learning skills.
The purpose of this article is the analyze the scientific literature on the definition of the essence of individual support of the subjects of the educational process.
The objectives of this paper were to study the views of leading scientists on the interpretation of the definitions of «accompaniment», «support», «mentoring».
The complex of methods to solving the problems of scientific paper such as theoretical analysis and synthesis of ideas, results, theoretical statements (explained in scientific literature), generalization and systematization of the results of available investigations of highlighted issue was used.
Research results. Based on the analysis of scientific literature, the views of scientists regarding the definition of the definition of "accompaniment", comparative characteristic and differentiation of the concepts of "mentoring" and "support" are systematized.
The article defines the main stages of the sequence of actions in the implementation of individual support.
The main variants of individual support (problem-solving method, mentoring, professional counseling, coaching, training, coordination, mentoring, control and information support) are highlighted.
Conclusions. It is determined that individual support is not just a sum of different methods of correctional and developmental impact on personality, but also acts as a complex technology, as a special culture of support and assistance to all participants of the educational process in solving the problems of development, education, upbringing and socialization. The realization of individual support can provide the increase of efficiency of the educational process as a whole.
