Physical Condition Level of Professional Pre-Higher Education Students

The article presents the results of a study of the physical condition level of professional pre-higher education students. In Ukraine, in accordance with the law "About the Professional Pre-Higher Education", institutions of professional pre-higher education were formed. Specialized sports colleges train future specialists in the field of physical education and sports. Students obtain a professional pre-university education, combining studies with the training process in their chosen sport. The success of learning and sports training depends on the level of physical condition of specialized sports education students. The results of modern research indicate a gradual deterioration in the physical condition of young students. However, domestic authors prove that the targeted use of sports training tools can have a positive impact on the functional indicators of students. The purpose was to determine the level of physical condition of applicants for professional pre-higher education in sports. Methods and research organization. The participants of the study – Professional Specialized Sports Pre-Higher Education students, a total of 22 male individuals. The average age of the representatives is 17.86 ± 0.12 years. Experience in sports activities (sports games) more than 5 years. Level of sportsmanship: from II sports category to Candidate for Master of Sports of Ukraine. Anthropometric (weight and body length) and biomedical (heart rate, blood pressure) indicators were studied. To assess physical condition, the I. Pirogov Physical Condition Index was used. Research Results. The average value of the Physical Condition Index of the study participants is in the range from 0.676 to 0.825 conventional units, which corresponds to the assessment of "above average". According to the results of the study, it was determined that 77.3% of the participants have a physical condition assessment of "Above average", 22.7% have a rating of "High". Conclusions. The physical condition of Professional Specialized Sports Pre-Higher Education students corresponds to the assessment "Above average". The increased amount of physical activity and sports specialization have a positive effect on the level of physical condition of applicants for professional pre-higher education.Downloads
