Abstract

The purpose of the article is to investigate the possibilities for optimizing the methodological training of future vocational education teachers for creative activity within a higher education institution. Updating the theoretical foundations of the content of methodological disciplines and moving away from traditional approaches to teaching academic subjects requires the search for resources to improve the quality of education in order to activate students’ professional stance in the educational process, to form their readiness for problem-oriented and innovative approaches to solving professional problems, and to promote the use of innovations in teaching through the performance of methodological and managerial functions in independent creative work. Based on the analysis of scientific and methodological literature and the study of teaching experience in delivering the course, the interaction between methodological and managerial aspects of teaching the fundamentals of occupational safety in the technical maintenance of vehicles is substantiated. This interaction is considered an important resource for optimizing the educational process, individualizing learning, stimulating students’ motivation and orientation toward non-standard cognitive activity, and activating their professional stance in solving professional problems. Among the key aspects of professional training, particular attention was paid to the interaction of methodology and management as a basis for the high-quality performance of professional functions by future junior bachelors in real educational and industrial technical situations of independent activity in the field of automotive transport. This enables students not only to acquire theoretical knowledge of the fundamentals of methods for teaching specialized disciplines and gain experience in non-standard actions when solving learning problems, and to perform tasks related to managing their own cognitive activity, but also to develop the ability to carry out methodological and managerial functions as tools for activating their professional stance while mastering the theoretical foundations of occupational safety for professional development within a higher education institution. The analysis of theoretical sources on the interaction of methodology and management in teaching occupational safety during the technical maintenance of vehicles, as an important resource for activating students’ professional stance, shows that the implementation of this interaction requires systemic, creative-activity-based, and problem-innovative approaches to organizing instruction in the methods of specialized disciplines. This creates conditions for activating students’ professional stance, positively influences their professional development and readiness for non-standard actions in occupational safety activities, ensures productive performance of professional duties in modern conditions of information-technological education and the automotive industry, and enhances their competitiveness in the labor market.
