Abstract

In modern sports, there is an increase in the intensity of training loads, the frequency of trauma, psycho-emotional burnout and the risk of chronic functional disorders in athletes. At the same time, the coach is the main subject of organizing the training process and forming a sports environment that determines the conditions for maintaining the health of participants in the classes. Therefore, research into the role of the coach in creating a health-preserving sports environment is relevant for improving the quality of athletes' training, optimizing loads, preventing injuries and ensuring long-term preservation of their physical and mental health. The goal is to investigate the role of the coach in creating a health-preserving sports environment and to identify the main components of his health-preserving activities that ensure the health of athletes during training. The work used an analysis of scientific publications, content analysis of regulatory and methodological documents, systematization of pedagogical approaches to health preservation in sports, as well as a generalization of practical approaches to modeling coaching activities. The theoretical provisions of the study are confirmed by a logical generalization and comparison of modern concepts of health preservation. It was established that the coach is a key factor in the formation of a health-preserving sports environment, as he determines the training regimen, load methodology, psychological climate and safety of classes. The structure of the coach's health-preserving activity is substantiated, which includes the functions of medical and preventive, pedagogical, psychological and organizational and managerial orientation. Pedagogical conditions that ensure the effectiveness of this activity are identified, in particular: professional competence, systematic approaches, motivational support of athletes and the creation of a safe environment. The role of the coach in preserving the health of athletes is complex and multidimensional, and its implementation requires special training, awareness of the health-preserving mission and the implementation of purposeful pedagogical conditions. The developed criteria for the effectiveness of coaching health-preserving activity can be used to evaluate and improve the quality of the sports process.
