Abstract

Abstract: The article substantiates a system of methodological approaches to studying the formation of the human resources potential of music and pedagogical departments in higher education institutions. The relevance of the topic is determined by transformations in higher education, the growing requirements for the quality of training of future music teachers, changes in the academic labor market, and the need to ensure the sustainable reproduction of academic and teaching staff. In contemporary research, the issue of human resources potential formation is predominantly examined at the level of the higher education institution or the education system as a whole, whereas the departmental level—where recruitment, professional socialization, mentoring, and staff development are directly implemented—remains insufficiently conceptualized. The purpose of the article is to substantiate methodological approaches to studying the formation of the human resources potential of music and pedagogical departments, taking into account the specific integration of pedagogical, artistic-performing, and scientific-methodological activities. The methodological framework of the study includes systemic, synergistic, resource-based, institutional, competency-based, axiological, sociocultural, modernization, and comparative-content approaches. Their integrated application makes it possible to consider the department’s human resources potential as a dynamic subsystem of a higher education institution, formed through the interaction of staffing procedures, professional development of teaching staff, organizational culture, and external educational factors. The results of the study consist in defining a methodological framework that ensures a holistic examination of the formation of the human resources potential of music and pedagogical departments and enables the integration of quantitative and qualitative parameters of personnel analysis. The conclusions demonstrate that a multidimensional methodology helps to avoid reducing human resources potential to formal indicators and contributes to a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of its reproduction under the contemporary challenges faced by higher artistic and pedagogical education.
