Abstract

Globalization of the educational space and the internationalization of the university environment necessitate the modernization of professional training for future specialists. The widespread adoption of digital tools transforms models of access to learning resources, shapes new formats of communication, and expands opportunities for intercultural interaction. Under these conditions, the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) into professional education becomes particularly significant, creating preconditions for enhancing students’ participation in international educational programs. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the pedagogical potential of digital educational practices in increasing the level of academic mobility among higher education students. The research employed the following methods: analysis of scholarly sources, generalization of international experience, comparative analysis of educational models, student surveys, pedagogical observation, and interpretation of empirical data using elements of statistical processing. The theoretical framework is grounded in the competence-based, systemic, and communicative approaches. The results of the study indicate that the use of digital learning platforms, electronic educational resources, interactive environments, and network-based collaboration tools contributes to improving communicative competence, developing information literacy, and fostering intercultural sensitivity. An increased readiness of students to study in a foreign-language academic environment was identified, along with greater autonomy in learning activities and strengthened motivation to participate in international exchange programs. It has been demonstrated that digital tools ensure flexibility of the educational process, individualization of learning trajectories, and expanded access to global educational resources. The conclusions emphasize that the integration of ICT into the training of future specialists serves as an effective factor in fostering academic mobility. The digital educational environment facilitates qualitative transformations in the structure of professional training, enhances students’ adaptability to the international academic space, and strengthens their competitiveness.
