Abstract

Abstract. The article examines the practical aspects of methodical training for computer science teachers in using game-based platforms for teaching programming under the conditions of digital transformation in education, limited technical resources, and distance learning formats. The aim of the study is to develop effective methodological tools adapted to the needs of in-service teacher training, enabling the integration of platforms such as Scratch and Roblox Studio into school education. The paper analyzes regulatory documents, including the Professional Teacher Standard, and the Ministry of Education and Science recommendations, which emphasize the importance of teachers’ digital competence. A set of tools is presented—lesson templates, checklists, and educational resources—that help teachers plan lessons, evaluate their effectiveness, and implement modern pedagogical approaches. The study highlights examples of training programs focused on gamified learning and adapted for inclusive and online learning environments. Principles of universal design, motivational learning, and interdisciplinary integration are taken into account. Preliminary results of the program’s implementation show increased confidence among teachers in teaching programming and improved student motivation. Special attention is paid to the development of practical skills in game creation, which supports the development of algorithmic thinking in students. The methodological recommendations address current challenges, such as limited access to equipment, and offer easy-to-implement digital solutions. The materials of the article can be used for teacher professional development within the postgraduate education system. The author’s approach allows for a flexible response to modern educational challenges and supports the development of digital competence in an accessible and practice-oriented manner.
