Abstract

Abstract: The article presents a theoretical generalization and a scientific approach to the pedagogical fundamentals for cultivating stress resilience and readiness to provide psychological support to personnel within the system of military-professional training for future reserve officers. The topicality of the study is grounded by the increasing psychological burden placed on military personnel in the context of the ongoing full-scale war, as well as by the necessity to tailor the content of military education to the standards of psychological training adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the 2025–2026 transition period. Stress resilience in a future reserve officer is conceptualized as an integrative professional and personal characteristic that ensures effective performance under stress-inducing and extreme conditions. The study highlights a set of pedagogical conditions necessary for the development of these qualities, including the integration of psychological issues into the content of military-professional training; the practical orientation of instruction through scenario-based modeling and training sessions; and the cultivation of skills of psychological self-control and restoration of psycho-emotional resources. The stages of forming future reserve officers’ readiness to provide psychological support to personnel are identified as follows: motivational-orientational, cognitive-instructional, practical-operational, and reflective-corrective. It is demonstrated that the effective development of stress resilience and readiness to deliver psychological support within a military unit is ensured by combining traditional military-pedagogical methods with contemporary training technologies, including elements of coaching and reflective learning. The findings may be applied to improve educational programs and to provide methodological support for the military training of citizens enrolled in reserve officer programs at civilian higher education institutions.
