Abstract: The purpose of this study was to scientifically substantiate and experimentally verify the effectiveness of a physical training program for assistant football referees based on modern fitness tools and to determine its impact on the dynamics of functional status and physical performance indicators of referees of different qualification levels. Methods. The study employed analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical observation, pedagogical experiment, functional express diagnostics using the method of S. A. Dushanin based on differential electrocardiography, fitness testing, and methods of mathematical statistics. The pedagogical experiment involved 48 assistant football referees representing the Premier League, First League, and Second League, who were randomly assigned to control and experimental groups. The experimental group followed a specially developed training program incorporating functional training, interval loads, stabilization, and coordination exercises, while the control group trained according to the traditional preparation system. Results. The implementation of the experimental program led to statistically significant improvements in anaerobic creatine phosphate and glycolytic power, aerobic capacity, power at the anaerobic threshold, heart rate at the anaerobic threshold, and total metabolic capacity. The most pronounced positive dynamics were observed among Premier League and First League referees. Comparative analysis demonstrated a significant advantage of the experimental group over the control group in most functional indicators (p<0.05). The obtained results indicate enhanced adaptive capacity, increased functional reserves, and improved stability of physical performance under competitive conditions. Conclusions. It was proven that the use of modern fitness tools in the physical training system of assistant football referees ensures more effective development of key components of special working capacity compared to traditional approaches. The developed program contributes to the optimization of energy supply mechanisms, reduction of fatigue impact, and improvement of professional performance quality. The proposed training model is recommended for implementation in the preparation system of assistant referees of various qualification levels within national and regional refereeing structures.Downloads
