Abstract

The aim of the article is to assess the potential for developing individualized educational trajectories for physicians preparing for certification in accordance with current legislation. Methods. The study applied a systematic approach to a retrospective statistical one-time analysis of the entire population of data on continuing professional development (CPD) events that were conducted or planned for 2025, as registered on the website of the Center for Education Quality of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (https://www.testcentr.org.ua), the Public Health Center platform of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (https://portal.phc.org.ua), and the website of the P. L. Shupyk National University of Healthcare of Ukraine (https://www.nuozu.edu.ua). Comparative evaluation of the number of events relative to the number of physicians was carried out based on data from the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health and the Center for Education Quality of the Ministry of Health. Results. The highest number of CPD events registered for 2025 was for general practitioners – family medicine physicians – 3,695 events, and for physicians specializing in dentistry – 2,532 events. Of the certification-mandatory areas, 988 (26.7%) educational events were provided for family physicians and 623 (24.6%) for dentists. The greatest number of CPD events in mandatory areas was registered in Emergency Medical Care – 475 events for general practitioners, with a median cost of 338 UAH, and 277 events for dentists, with a median cost of 375 UAH. Despite a large number of providers (618), only 40 events were registered for family physicians in the area Procedure for conducting and documenting results of medical examination of violence victims, with a median cost of 775 UAH, and 18 events for dentists, costing 750 UAH. Analysis of open-source information indicated that the Distance Learning Platform of the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health plays an important role in shaping individualized educational trajectories, offering free online courses in all certification-mandatory areas. Regarding CPD events prepared for 2025 by lecturers of the P. L. Shupyk National University of Healthcare of Ukraine, educational events predominated for dentists: 18 events (for family physicians – only 7), including 6 covering all mandatory areas except Ethical Issues and Infection Control. Conclusions. The retrospective analysis of the current CPD system for healthcare professionals in 2025 highlighted the informational capabilities of the electronic CPD management system of the Center for Education Quality of the Ministry of Health in forming individualized learning trajectories for physicians. It also recommended the use of the Distance Learning Platform of the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health for completing free online courses in all certification-mandatory areas. The 18 CPD events prepared by the P. L. Shupyk National University, including 6 events in mandatory areas for dentists, ensured effective professional competency development for dental physicians and preparation for certification.
