Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of the study is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the potential of digital technologies in teaching music disciplines and to identify the pedagogical conditions under which the digitalization of the educational process ensures a real improvement in the quality of learning, the development of professional competencies, and the expansion of opportunities for students’ creative self-realization. The research methodology is based on a set of general scientific methods, including theoretical analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, and systematization of scholarly sources devoted to the issues of digital transformation in music education. The study also applies an approach to the classification and interpretation of contemporary digital practices, encompassing the use of artificial intelligence, online platforms, mobile applications, music notation software, sound recording and audio processing tools, as well as immersive technologies of augmented and virtual reality. Particular analytical attention is paid to blended learning models, formative assessment tools, and the criteria for effective feedback within a digital educational environment. The scientific novelty of the study lies in specifying the conceptual directions of the digital modernization of music education, including the personalization of educational trajectories, the use of automated learning analytics, digital support for the development of auditory, performance, and creative skills, as well as the expansion of music-pedagogical practices through the integration of innovative tools. The study substantiates the didactic conditions for the effective implementation of digital means, in particular their content-related and methodological relevance, the presence of transparent assessment criteria, the provision of high-quality pedagogical support, and the maintenance of a balance between technological mediation and direct musical interaction. At the same time, the main risks and limitations of digitalization are outlined, including unequal access to technical and software resources, excessive digital intensification of the educational process, the potential standardization of creative activity, as well as issues of academic integrity, data privacy, and copyright compliance. Conclusions. It has been established that the implementation of digital solutions, particularly artificial intelligence technologies, interactive and immersive environments, as well as software tools for the creation, editing, analysis, and interpretation of musical material, contributes to strengthening the practice-oriented nature of learning, increasing student engagement, and enabling more precise adaptation of the educational process to individual educational needs. At the same time, it is proven that the effectiveness of the digitalization of music education is determined not only by the availability of modern technological tools, but above all by the level of methodological adaptation of courses, the development of teachers’ digital competence, the quality of feedback, and the optimal combination of digital instruments with traditional forms of music education and performance training.
