Abstract

This article examines the important problem of bullying in elementary school and proposes an approach to its solution through the formation of tolerance in younger students.

The essence of the concept of "bullying" is clarified - it is defined as systematic, deliberate, aggressive harassment of one child (or group of children) by another child (or group). Its forms (physical; verbal; social) and negative consequences for children were considered: psychological, physical, academic, social and long-term. Special attention is paid to the specificity of this phenomenon in primary school.

The paper analyzes the concept of tolerance as a key factor in preventing bullying. The meaning of the concept of tolerance, its components and significance for harmonious interpersonal relations are revealed.

The main part of the article is devoted to methods and techniques of tolerance formation in children of primary school age. We offer a comprehensive approach that includes:

  1. Integration of elements of tolerance into the educational process.
  2. Extracurricular activities aimed at developing empathy and mutual understanding.
  3. Working with parents to foster tolerance in the family.
  4. Creating a tolerant educational environment at school.

The article provides specific examples of exercises, games, and activities that teachers can use to build tolerance in students.

The role of the teacher in this process and the need to increase his competence in matters of tolerance and prevention of bullying are considered separately.

We emphasize the importance of a systematic approach and the cooperation of all participants in the educational process for the effective formation of tolerance and prevention of bullying.

The conclusions summarize the importance of tolerance as a key factor in creating a safe and friendly educational environment in primary school.

The article will be useful for primary school teachers, school psychologists, school administrators and parents interested in the prevention of bullying and education of tolerance in children.
