The purpose of the article is to develop a didactic model of teaching general physics in the professional training of future physics teachers - bachelors of secondary education (physics). In the process of the research, the scientific works of scientists who researched the methodology of teaching general physics as a key element in the training of future physics teachers, as well as the theoretical and practical foundations of students' mastering of other sections of physics, were analyzed. The results revealed that the basis of the model is the didactic conditions of teaching general physics in the professional training of future physics teachers - bachelors of secondary education (physics): strengthening the motivation of students-future teachers of physics to study general physics and methods of teaching physics as a subject; application of the knowledge visualization method in the teaching of general physics in the system of professional training of future physics teachers; creation of digital educational and methodological support for independent work of future physics teachers. Methodological approaches to the teaching of general physics in the professional training of future physics teachers - bachelors of secondary education (physics) were identified and characterized: competence-based, resource-oriented, informational, technological, axiological, project-creative, system-activity. The components of the didactic model are characterized: the methodological and target block, which includes the goal (implementation of didactic conditions for teaching general physics in the professional training of future physics teachers - bachelors of secondary education (physics)), methodological approaches and didactic principles (scientific, historicism, systematicity, concentricity, conscious mastering the content, independence and activity in learning, clarity, accessibility); the content-methodical block, which reflects the content of the educational component «General Physics»), which is divided into 5 educational components Mechanics, Molecular Physics, Electricity and Magnetism, Optics, Atomic and Nuclear Physics, each of which is studied in the amount of 6 ECTS credits; methods and forms of training of future physics teachers; control-diagnostic block, which is presented with criteria for diagnosing the knowledge acquired by future physics teachers, practical skills in solving physical problems and outlined competencies (cognitive-cognitive, didactic-methodical, activity-practical), which are used during the exam in the discipline «General Physics», the levels of formation of competencies defined by the program, learning outcomes, as well as the planned result from the implementation of the model. The conclusions concluded that the proposed model will ensure the success of the implementation of the specified didactic conditions for teaching general physics in the professional training of future physics teachers - bachelors of secondary education (physics).
