The rapid digitalization of higher education and the widespread adoption of distance learning formats have increased the need to assess the pedagogical effectiveness of virtual tools and platforms in the professional training of future physical education specialists. The purpose of this study is to analyze the didactic potential and educational effectiveness of contemporary virtual tools and platforms used in distance education for training future specialists in physical education and sports. Methods: scientific literature analysis was used to examine existing research on the subject; generalization and systematization were applied to present the study findings. Results. The study analyzes the theoretical foundations and practical possibilities of integrating digital technologies into the educational process of higher education institutions. The main groups of virtual educational tools and platforms used in distance learning are examined, including learning management systems, video conferencing platforms, and interactive digital services for creating educational content.
