The purpose of the article is to consider the essence of the concept of "professional burnout of pianist students" with a focus on the tools for its prevention during preparation for public performances. Results. The dependence of the mentioned phenomenon on the action of excessive stress has been established, which leads both to the loss of the desire to communicate creatively with listeners/viewers and to derive pleasure from the mentioned process, and to a decrease in the productivity of their performing apparatus (psychological and physiological). Three phases of the development of professional burnout syndrome in student pianists during public performances are described, where the first phase is determined by their activity and aggression, the second by immersion in the musical and performing process, and the third by inertia, depression, and loss of desire to engage in musical and interpretive activities due to excessive depletion of creative resources. Conclusions. The article reveals that professional burnout in piano students is a process of consistent depletion of intellectual, physical, and emotional energy resources due to the emotional nature of the conditions of public reporting forms (tests, exams, concerts, etc.). It is proposed to link the professional burnout of student pianists with their personal deformation of creative and performing potential under the influence of the emotional conditions of public performances in the system "musician/interpreter - listeners/spectators". The main external and internal factors that accelerate the emergence of professional burnout in student pianists during public performances are highlighted. It has been proven that the main external factors are intense psycho-emotional activity and the action of various stressors that destabilize musical and performing activities, and the internal ones are excessive worry about the quality of the reproduction of stage images, inadequate/vulnerable perception of the reaction of listeners/spectators to the reproduced musical information or artistic behavior, rigidity of the emotional sphere and hypertrophied motivation aimed at achieving high success in public performance, etc. Means of preventing professional burnout in student pianists have been substantiated.Downloads
