The objective of this article is to provide a thorough and comprehensive analysis of lapbooking as an innovative educational technology. This highly effective didactic tool ensures the successful development of key competencies in students within the practical implementation of the New Ukrainian School conceptual framework. Methods. To achieve the goal, the set of complementary scientific methods has been employed, including theoretical analysis, synthesis, and generalization of scientific literature on the research problem, and pedagogical observation. Results. The study characterizes the etymological origin of the term, traces the historical genesis of the concept from the first foldables to modern multifunctional projects, and highlights the fundamental philosophical and pedagogical principles of lapbooking, which are firmly based on the ideas of progressive pedagogy regarding the importance of learning by doing. Significant attention in the research is devoted to the clear algorithmization of creating an interactive thematic folder as a holistic educational project, which logically covers all necessary stages from the initial conceptualization of the idea and the creation of a layout to direct technical construction and the final public presentation of the finished product. The article includes an expanded section describing the practical application of this methodology during the study of complex humanities topics, specifically in literature lessons when analyzing texts. Conclusions. It has been shown that the systematic use of lapbooks in the educational process contributes to the powerful development of creative thinking, the formation of independent research skills, effective social integration, and stress reduction. Conclusions are drawn regarding the indisputable expediency of implementing this interactive technology as an effective means of genuine individualization of the educational process, helping the modern teacher finally transition from the outdated role of an authoritarian transmitter of knowledge to the role of a wise mentor and facilitator.Downloads
