Abstract

Purpose. The study is aimed at substantiating and evaluating the effectiveness of an integrative approach to the formation of first aid competencies in future fitness trainers and choreographers within the system of professional training. The relevance of the problem is determined by the high level of injuries in physical activity and choreographic practice, which requires appropriate preparedness of specialists to act in emergency situations.

Methods. The research employed the analysis and synthesis of scientific literature, pedagogical observation, comparative analysis, and generalization of educational practice in the field of physical education and choreographic training. An integrative approach was applied, which involves combining theoretical knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and life safety with practical first aid training. Diagnostic methods were used to assess the level of competency development.

Results. It was established that the traditional system of professional training does not sufficiently ensure the formation of first aid competencies in future fitness trainers and choreographers. The implementation of the integrative approach contributes to the systematic inclusion of first aid content in professional disciplines, practical classes, and situational training. It was proven that students demonstrate a higher level of readiness to act in emergency situations when interdisciplinary integration and practice-oriented tasks are applied. The proposed approach increases motivation, professional awareness, and practical preparedness of future specialists.

Conclusions. The integrative approach is an effective pedagogical strategy for developing first aid competencies in future fitness trainers and choreographers. Its implementation in the educational process improves the quality of professional training and ensures the development of essential safety-oriented skills. Prospects for further research are related to the development of specialized training modules and digital simulation tools for first aid education in the field of physical culture and choreography.
