Abstract

Objective. The purpose of this study is to substantiate the information and analytical mechanisms for integrating open education and science within the contemporary digital educational environment, as well as to determine their functional significance, structural components, and organizational foundations for practical implementation in the system of information support for educational and scientific activities. Particular attention is paid to the convergence of open educational resources, digital scientific communication, electronic repositories, analytical monitoring services of research productivity, and knowledge management tools that collectively shape a unified open information space for education and science.

Methods. The methodological framework combines a set of interrelated general scientific and specialized approaches, including analysis and synthesis for identifying the conceptual foundations of integration processes in open education and science; system-structural analysis for determining interconnections between digital educational platforms, information and analytical resources, and scientific communication environments; comparative analysis of international practices in the development of open educational and scientific ecosystems; information-analytical methods for evaluating the role of digital services in supporting educational, research, and analytical activities; and scientific modeling for constructing a conceptual model of an integrated information and analytical mechanism for ensuring effective interaction between education and science in an open digital environment.

Results. The findings demonstrate that the current development of open education and science is characterized by a transition from fragmented use of individual digital resources toward the formation of integrated information ecosystems, where open educational platforms, digital libraries, scientific repositories, scientometric analysis systems, data analytics services, academic communication tools, and intelligent data processing technologies operate as interconnected components of a unified infrastructure. It has been established that information and analytical mechanisms perform coordinating, navigational, analytical, communicative, prognostic, and service-support functions. Their implementation creates favorable conditions for improving access to scientific knowledge, strengthening interinstitutional cooperation, enhancing academic mobility, expanding opportunities for continuous professional development of academic and pedagogical staff, and improving the analytical basis for strategic decision-making in education and science.

Conclusions. The integration of open education and science requires the systematic implementation of information and analytical mechanisms capable of ensuring the integrity of the digital educational and scientific environment, effective circulation of knowledge, analytical support for research activities, and the advancement of open scientific communication. A promising direction for further development lies in the establishment of integrated information and analytical hubs that combine digital access to resources, scientific analytics, professional collaboration, and personalized support for educational and research trajectories within an open knowledge ecosystem.
