The purpose of this study is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the administrative foundations underlying the implementation of the policy of Ukrainization of education in Ukraine during 1917–1920, a period marked by profound socio-political transformations and the formation of national statehood. The research examines the key areas of activity of governmental bodies aimed at introducing the Ukrainian language into the educational process, establishing a national school system, and developing pedagogical human resources. Particular attention is paid to the regulatory and legal framework of educational reforms, the role of central and local authorities in implementing language policy, and the organizational and methodological mechanisms that supported educational transformations. The study also analyzes the activities of educational institutions, professional pedagogical communities, and public organizations that contributed to the dissemination of the Ukrainian language and nationally oriented educational content. The main challenges of implementing the Ukrainization policy are identified, including shortages of qualified personnel, limited material and technical resources, and political instability. The impact of these factors on the effectiveness of educational reforms is assessed. The research employs historical-comparative, systemic, and problem-chronological methods, enabling a comprehensive understanding of the processes of Ukrainization in education. The findings can be used for further studies in the history of Ukrainian educational policy and for developing modern strategies for the advancement of national education.Downloads
